CCleaner- Cache and Cookies Cleaner

Piriform Ccleaner is software which can be used to delete cookies, unnecessary files and browsing history from your computer. But these can be deleted from your browser also then why ccleaner?

No actually once you delete cookies and browsing history from your browser options, they are not completely erased. Ccleaner is used to completely erase the cache of your web browser.
Ccleaner interface:
Once you open ccleaner it shows your system specifications just below its title and version. There are four buttons to the left.
·         Cleaner
·         Registry
·         Tools
·         Options
Cleaner:
Under cleaner tab, you can analyze and clean all the cache of windows built-in applications like internet explorer, windows explorer and you can also clean the cache of installed applications like opera, media players, Skype and anti viruses etc.
·         Click on cleaner tab.
·         All the options will be selected by default. Deselect the option if you want to keep its cache.
·         Click Analyze button on bottom left of the right window pane to get a log of all the cache items.
·         Click Run cleaner on bottom right to remove all the cache items.

Registry:
In this section you can fix the errors related to windows system registry.
Select the areas you want to check for issues and click scan for issues in bottom left of main screen.
Once the problems are listed, select the issues you want to fix and click fix selected issues at bottom right of main screen.

Tools:
Tools tab has four sub tabs.

·         Uninstall:
o   This works just like add/remove programs option of windows control panel. It contains a list of all the programs installed on your system. To uninstall some program, select the program you want to modify and click rename, delete or run uninstaller to perform desired operation.
·         Startup:
o   Contains a log of those programs which run automatically when system starts up. Here you can enable, disable and delete programs you don’t want to run at system startup.
·         System restore:
o   Contains a log of latest system restore timings which you can remove if you want. Latest system restore can’t be deleted for system security.
·         Drive wiper:
o   Allows you to wipe the local disk partitions. You can either wipe out free space to clean it from trashes or you can also erase entire contents of some specific drive.
Caution: Be very careful while using Drive Wiper, because you may lose all of your data mistakenly.
Options:
This menu allows you to

·         Change ccleaner settings like language, running ccleaner at system startup and checking for frequent updates etc.
·         Specify cookies you want to keep when ccleaner is used to erase all cookies.
·         Manually include and exclude files you want to delete.
·         Specify some advanced settings like minimizing program to system tray and closing program automatically after cleaning.
